Huwaa was born at our Rewilding Center at Laohu Valley in South Africa two days before the Chinese Year of the Tigers ended. She is a healthy strong cub and has amazing ability to crawl about. This also accounted for her crawling through the chicken wires of the fence at Laohu Valley Reserve, giving our staff a huge scare! In the following three months, she experienced various problems, such as diarrhea, bacteria in stool, abdominal effusion, etc, as no food could compare that of tiger mothers. However, she has managed to survive and has now grown into a healthy, energetic, lovely, and also very powerful “Terminator”! She returned to Laohu Valley Reserve on 14 May 2011, to reunite with her family and to start her rewilding training.
