Mission and Values

"Save China's Tigers" has been established to protect and conserve the tiger and other endangered cat species in China, in the knowledge that these are essential for the maintenance of a balanced co-existence with nature.

The primary goals of Save China's Tigers are:

  • To provide information relating to the tiger's uncertain future in China.
  • To seek support from all people who wish to help conserve this cultural icon and charismatic symbol of ecological welfare.
  • To help educate and advise the public the means by which such rare animals can be protected for the benefit of present and future generations.
  • To bring advanced conservation ideas and models from abroad and to seek the support of the international community in developing partnerships with dedicated organisations within China.
  • To find methods to resolve potential human-tiger conflicts by pursuing amicable accommodations.
  • To deliver focused and accountable financial support for valuable conservation and education work.
  • To promote networking between all interested parties; public, educational, commercial, scientific and governmental; both within and across national boundaries.
  • To work together with existing and future organisations to maximise the benefits that can be gained through combined efforts.
