Week 235 (22 - 28 February 2008)
TigerWoods and Madonna become friends again
After two weeks without any contact with TigerWoods, Madonna decided to seek out the company of TigerWoods again, and he was also trying hard to be a gentleman and gain the affection of Madonna. On Saturday afternoon, Madonna stopped staying away from TigerWoods and came close to him. When TigerWoods was lying on the ground, she ran to him and scratched him with her front paw. TigerWoods wanted to fight back, but Madonna ran backwards immediately. After pacing for a while, he rolled around in the grass and sat next to the fence after that. On Sunday morning, TigerWoods and Madonna played a bit. Madonna would occasionally come to TigerWoods and hit him on his face and then run away immediately. TigerWoods displayed good manners and didn’t fight back. In the afternoon, it was raining. TigerWoods and Madonna were given a back leg of buffalo in the 0.5 ha camp. Because they haven’t caught anything in 6 days, they must have been very hungry. Seeing food coming, they were very excited and ran into the 0.5 ha camp at speed. TigerWoods rushed to the buffalo leg first. He didn’t begin to eat after checking the leg, but left the chance to Madonna. Madonna started immediately. After exploring his territory, TigerWoods ran towards Madonna from far away at very high speed. Seeing TigerWoods running towards her, Madonna lifted the leg and was ready to move it to another place. But TigerWoods didn’t want to rob the leg and fell down next to her and began to roll around in the grass.
The next day, TigerWoods and Madonna had finished the buffalo leg and they began to plan a new hunt. Though they still looked fat, on Wednesday afternoon, they began to come close to the blesbok. Madonna was walking in front of TigerWoods. She walked very slowly while scent marking all the time. Then she sat down in the center of the 40 ha camp, watching the blesbok. The blesbok also saw her, but since not much movement was made by Madonna, they began to eat again. Madonna got up and began to walk towards them. Suddenly, the blesbok became alert and began to run towards the southern gate of the 40 ha camp. Madonna seemed still too full to run after them. So she carried on walking and checking along the fence. TigerWoods had also come to the center of the camp. All the blesbok were surprised at his sudden appearance and began to run again towards the river. TigerWoods had a huge belly and could only get up slowly. He walked a short distance towards the blesbok and sat down again. However, the blesbok had by now realized that a new hunt had begun.
Cathay looked very lonely without company or prey to catch, so she spent most of the time pacing along the fence of the 40 ha camp or the 0.5 ha camp looking for TigerWoods and Madonna and even the blesbok. 327, on the other hand, was thinking how to get inside the breeding center every day. Every morning, he was seen pacing excitedly along the breeding center. Luckily for him he was allowed to come inside during the day to get out of the severe sun.
