Week 297 ( 1st - 7th May 2009 )
A spot of fun for some and TigerWoods has his heart broken
King Henry spotted Madonna heading in his direction and he began stalking her and then leapt out of the grass directly in front of her feet, startling her, he then pranced around gleefully at a job well done.
Hulooo spotted the camera bag through the fence and hardly had eyes for anything else and he was determined to have it, even if it meant rolling all the rocks along the fence out of the way. The first rock he tried he tried wouldn’t budge and the second stone didn’t change the overall picture so he laughed off the whole affair and lay down to rest.
Back to boring old blesbuck, excepting for a leftover zebra leg left in the crush cage. All three were crowded around the blesbuck until JenB discovered that the leg was unattached. He raced off with it followed closely by his two brothers. No refuge in the tree. Hulooo lost all interest in his brothers and came over to the fence. The duo bickered over the leg a while longer then JenB came out from behind the tree carrying it, he caught sight of the blesbuck and immediately dropped the leg and hurtled over to the buck, he had no sooner reached it when he suddenly realised that the leg was unprotected and he dashed back just in time to throw himself on the leg to protect it from the ravages of his brother
Early in the week we separated Cathay and TigerWoods and put her in with 327 in the 3ha camp. TigerWoods spent the whole day pacing the 1ha fence in the hopes that Cathay would notice him.
The next day he was feeling depressed and proceeded to let the whole world know. Zebra was on the menu and he just picked at his.
The following day TigerWoods had temporarily forgotten how lonely he was whilst he was eating, but no sooner had he filled the void in his stomach when he started roaring for somebody…..anybody to take pity on him. We have decided that to preserve his and our sanity we would move him into the 1ha camp next to Cathay and 327. The same afternoon he was really very unhappy, pacing the annex and hoping that somebody would open the gate for him.
We took pity on him and decided to let him out. As an experiment we decided to open the gate to the quarantine camp as well and see what happens. Well, we had no sooner opened the annex gate when he made a sharp left and only after slight hesitation he waltzed right in. As another experiment we toddled over to the opposite gate, called him over, he came and again crossed the threshold. Tomorrow morning he goes into the 1ha camp to be next to Cathay.
TigerWoods was frantically pacing the gate leading to the 1ha camp, wondering when the blazes we were going to open it and stood there calling Cathay. As soon as we opened the gate he headed off towards the 3ha camp stopping to smell the ground for her scent and pulling funny faces once he had done so. As he neared the other camp he became increasingly patient and eventually we were just about running to keep pace with him.
In the afternoon he was feeling a little better and was pacing with Cathay and exchanging chuffs. At least he can see and talk to her even if he can’t be with her.
