Week 298 ( 8th - 14th May 2009 )

TigerWoods mends his broken heart

On Friday TigerWoods hadn’t even eaten one bite of his food during the night and was furiously pacing the 3ha fence. By Saturday, TigerWoods was wandering around aimlessly and still hadn’t touched his food. Later in the week, TigerWoods was moping under a tree. I had promised him that he would be reunited with Cathay. In the afternoon TigerWoods was ecstatic at the thought of having Cathay with him. Unfortunately the gate came off its rails and that put paid to that for the day. Not only was he not reunited with the love of his life but he had to spend the night in the maternity camp - and was really disappointed that he was going to have to spend another night alone. Cathay had also been looking forward to spending time with TigerWoods walked off in despair when the gate wouldn’t work.

By Tuesday, TigerWoods had gotten over his heartache to some extent and was pacing the quarantine camp’s fence and had finally had something to eat. Closer inspection of the springbuck revealed that he had eaten about half. Later when I drove past TigerWoods, I found him eating and it looked like he was really enjoying his meal and by that time there was very little left.

The next day I opened the gate for Cathay, who, I might add, was already waiting and she hurried through and scuttled all over the show - smelling and scent marking. When she caught sight of TigerWoods she sprinted over to him and for the next five minutes they were chuffing constantly and rubbing against one another. TigerWoods was ecstatically happy to have her to himself. In the afternoon, once I had dragged their food in, TigerWoods got stuck in before Cathay could even think about sniffing it.
