Madonna and her cubs appeared out of the trees, crossed the river and then disappeared into the trees on the other side. A while later they popped out as they made their way to the gate. Princess was first to arrive at TW’s camp and chuffed King Henry closer but he was more interested in the possibility of my having food secreted in my pockets and came to investigate. Madonna made a turn at the gate and then sought some shade and King Henry lay down in the sun. In the afternoon Madonna and the cubs stormed out of the trees and headed straight for the gate where they milled around. Madonna then left to pace with Cathay. Later that day Madonna met me at the top corner near the road and jogged behind the vehicle, she suddenly found Princess on her tail and increased her pace to a sprint. Feeding time was the highlight of King Henry’s day. He growled at his sister and had a fit when she tried to join him at a wildebeest leg. Madonna wisely carried her food far away. Princess eventually found her own piece of meat and ate contentedly.
Hulooo was first to appear and whilst he was walking around aimlessly Coco flattened himself and his ears behind a bush and stalked Hulooo. Some while later, JenB and Coco plopped themselves down whilst Hulooo paraded. As soon as Hulooo lay down to rest, JenB crossed over to Hulooo and rubbed heads. Hulooo was unimpressed and rumbled at him but JenB continued pestering him and Hulooo was forced to chase him away (his ears pulled down flat). Having accomplished his goal, he lay down again and was immediately set upon by Coco. Hulooo growled at him and Coco knew to let well enough alone. A while later, all three were quietly lying under the pepper tree.
